Custom Engraved Footvolley Balls: How Laser Engraving Works

Laser engraving on a footvolley ball, explained: how it's done, whether it affects play, what you can engrave, turnaround times and who orders it.

A ball with your name on it, or your team's crest, or the date of a tournament you won, stops being equipment and becomes something people keep.

Laser engraving is what we're best known for, so here's the honest explanation of how it works, what it does and doesn't change, and who actually orders it.

What laser engraving on a ball actually is

A laser burns your design directly into the ball's outer surface. There's no ink, no sticker and no film, so nothing peels, cracks or fades, the mark is part of the ball. It survives sand, seawater and sun the same way the rest of the ball does.

Because the laser only marks the surface layer, engraving doesn't change the ball's weight, balance or flight. An engraved ball plays exactly like a plain one.

Who orders engraved balls

  • Gifts. The most common reason by far. A ball with a name, a date or an inside joke beats anything generic.
  • Teams and clubs. A crest on every ball, or one ball per player with their name.
  • Tournaments. Engraved balls as trophies, cheaper than a cup and infinitely more used.
  • Coaches and groups. End-of-season gifts for a training circle.
  • Brands. Logo engraving for events and giveaways.

Your options

Choose from the catalogue

We have hundreds of ready designs drawn by named artists, lettering, nature motifs, geometric patterns, ornaments, animals. You pick one, add your text if you want it, and that's the order.

Send your own

A logo, a crest, a drawing, a signature. Clean line art works best: the laser reproduces outlines beautifully and struggles with photographic gradients.

Text only

A name, a date, coordinates of your home beach. Simple engravings often look the best.

How long it takes

Engraving is done within 48 hours of the order, and the ball ships straight after. Inside Israel that's typically 1–3 business days of delivery on top. International orders take longer, message us and we'll give you a real estimate before you pay.

Which ball should you engrave?

Any ball with an outer rubber surface takes engraving well. We'd point you at our own: the TATU BOLA ball is soft from the first session, sealed against water and sand, and a touch heavier than average, about 10 grams, which keeps it steady in beach wind instead of drifting on every serve.

If you're still deciding, read how to choose a footvolley ball first, then engrave the one you'll actually play with.

One thing to know before you order

Engraved balls are made to order, so they can't be returned or exchanged. Plain, un-engraved products can be returned within 14 days. Check your spelling twice, we engrave exactly what you send.

FAQ

Does engraving affect how the ball plays?

No. The laser marks only the outer surface, so weight, balance and flight stay the same.

Will the engraving wear off?

No. It isn't printed on top of the ball, it's burned into it, so there's nothing to peel or fade.

How long does an engraved ball take?

Engraving is completed within 48 hours, then shipping time on top.

Can I send my own logo?

Yes. Clean line art or a vector file gives the best result; detailed photographs don't translate well to laser engraving.

Can engraved balls be returned?

No, they're custom-made for you. Un-engraved products are returnable within 14 days.

Do you engrave for teams and tournaments?

Yes, including bulk orders. Contact us with the quantity and we'll price it.
